MGM was born from the recognition that Swahili-speaking refugees and immigrants in North Carolina faced unique challenges that required culturally competent support. Founded by individuals who themselves experienced the refugee journey, we understand the complexities of displacement, cultural isolation, and the struggle to rebuild lives in a new land. Our work is grounded in faith, compassion, and the unifying power of the Swahili language that connects communities across 14+ East African countries.
